La Conservera, which takes its name from the former use of the building as a canned food factory, has undergone a major refurbishment project led by the architect Fernando de Retes, who devised a dynamic, flexible design providing capacity for four impressively large exhibition rooms. The galleries are all different, each with its own character, and together they provide a total of 4,800 m2 of exhibition space.

Sala Verónicas, located in the former convent church of the same name, has a total of 43 metres of permanent wall display space which can be extended with mobile walls when required.

This eighteenth-century space in the Baroque style, a building of great historical and architectural distinction, plays an active part, both formally and spatially, in its own exhibition projects. Indeed, nearly all of them are specifically produced in situ, in line with the conceptual approach associated with art centres, opening up a dialogue between the space and the work, so that the vehicle and the content are merged together.
